Destination France Awards 2019: two tour-operators honored

Toronto, February 28th, 2019 – More than 200 tourism professionals were gathered yesterday for the Destination France 2019 tradeshow and Award ceremony at the Westin Harbour Castle. Organized every year by Atout France, the France Tourism Development Agency, this trade show allows travels agents to meet with French and local exhibitors and be updated on the destination. This year’s theme, France Stories highlighted the 500 years of Renaissance in the Loire Valley among many other attractions and international events available to travelers.

The France Product of the Year Award

This award is an opportunity to recognize the work of tour operators who innovate by offering original tours in France. Travel agents had the choice to vote online for one of 4 itineraries. Paris and the Chateaux of the Loire Valley by Kensington Tours is this year’s winner of the Product of the year Award. Ms Jolene Plant, Product Director, received the prize from the hands Mr Marc Richet, General Manager of Centre-Val de Loire Tourism.

Happy winner of a 4 roues sous 1 parapluie prize stay For the first time, a prize was raffled among the travel agents who voted online for the Product of the year Award. Ms. Carla Wilson is the happy winner of a voucher for a Fantastic Suite at the W Paris Opera, breakfast included, for 2 persons, valued at 630€ excluding taxes. This prize is graciously offered by 4 roues sous un parapluie. Partner of the year Award

Atout France wishes, with this prize, to recognize the involvement of an operator in support of the promotion of the destination. The Partner of the year is Connaissance Travel and Tours. Mr Vincent Veerasuntharan, president, was handed the Award during the ceremony.
